Spring is finally upon us! so now what does this mean for our lashes?
The warmer weather we've experienced recently can trick our bodies into thinking spring has come early. This means we're preparing ourselves by shedding our winter coats, yes we do shed hair like our fellow animals believe it or not.
I may have mentioned this to you before at the Autumn shed that you may experience the need for a lash fill a little sooner then usual.
I know you may think we've transitioned to the top of the animal kingdom are a super species however that doesn't deter from the basic fact that we still have an animal status, and like all other animals we shed our coats in the winter / summer to prepare our bodies for change in season and to get ready for the warmer weather, so like animals our hair sheds ready for our summer coat. You may notice that your hair and nails grow faster in the summer especially when exposed to the sun. My roots Are showing a lot sooner then they usually would which again is all part of the new season change.
Shedding our winter coats means we are likely to lose our lashes faster as everything is growing quicker. The bad news is we have less hair, but the good news is the regrowth is generally thicker and healthier.
So what does that mean for your appointments I hear you ask?
As I've already explained you're shedding excess hair and lashes at a faster rate than normally which means you might have to schedule closer infill appointments as your retention could be affected. Don't worry though this won't last forever, as our hair growth cycle normally last around 6 weeks, the shedding process shouldn't last any longer than this is and is normally rectified within a 1 or 2 infills appointments. Please me patient with them as It won’t last for long before all goes back to normal.
