Brow lamination and henna brow aftercare in Brighton
The first day matters most for your brows. Follow the steps for the treatment you had, and keep this page handy if you need a reminder.
Brow lamination: the first 24 hours
Keep your brows dry for the first 24 to 48 hours after brow lamination. This is usually the trickiest part of the aftercare.
Once that dry period has passed, you can get your brows wet again. You can also use an oily make-up remover and brush your brows.
Brow lamination: keeping the result
I give you an aftercare pack with castor oil and a spoolie brush. Apply the oil before bed to keep your brow hairs soft and smooth.
After a shower, use the spoolie to brush the hairs back into place. Once you’ve set them, they should stay in position for the rest of the day. You can brush them again whenever you need to. Brow lamination can last four to eight weeks, depending on your natural hair growth cycle.
Henna brows: making the stain last
Keep the brow area dry for 24 hours after henna brows. Avoid skin exfoliators around the brows if you want the skin stain to last longer.
If you’re going swimming, apply a thin layer of castor oil to help protect the tint from chlorine. The colour on the skin lasts 5 to 10 days, depending on your skin type. The colour on the brow hairs can last up to six weeks. Both fade naturally, so the skin stain will change before the hair colour has gone.
