Who I am

I'm Heather, the owner of Brighton Brows. My studio is at 54 Denton Drive, Brighton, BN1 8LS. You can contact me about this notice using the details below.

What I collect

When you enquire or book, I may collect your name, phone number, email address and appointment details. For treatments that need them, I also collect patch test and health answers. I may take treatment photographs, but I share them only with your written consent.

You can type questions to Browie, the AI assistant on my website. My website doesn't keep a copy of your chat. It logs only the number of words processed, never the messages themselves. Please don't put personal or health details in the chat.

Why I collect it

I use your contact and appointment details to arrange your visit and answer your questions. I use patch test and health answers when checking whether a treatment can go ahead. I use a photograph outside your appointment only if you've given written consent for it to be shared.

I rely on steps you request before an agreement, or on the agreement itself, to answer enquiries and arrange and carry out appointments. I use health information only with your explicit consent to check if a treatment is safe for you. I rely on your written consent for photographs.

Who sees it

I use this information as the person who runs Brighton Brows and carries out your treatment.

When you book online or pay a deposit, I use Square Appointments. Square stores your name, contact and appointment details, handles the deposit card payment, and sends confirmations and reminders. Its privacy notice applies to the booking pages. Emails you send me reach Google because I use Gmail. The contact form opens your email program; it doesn't save your message on my website. My website keeps no client details.

I use Cloudflare to host my website. Cloudflare handles technical data, including IP addresses, so it can deliver and secure the site. If you use PayPal to pay, its privacy notice applies.

My website sends your Browie chat messages to Anthropic, the company in the USA which develops the Claude AI model. Anthropic writes Browie's answers. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp only if you choose to use it. Messages you send there are covered by WhatsApp's own terms. My website gets live free times from Square. It asks Square only for those times and sends Square nothing about you.

How long I keep it

I keep client records and consent forms on an iPad for 3 years.

Your rights

You can withdraw your consent at any time. If you're unhappy with how I handle your information, you can make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

I don't set cookies on the Brighton Brows website, and I don't use analytics or tracking there. If you book online, you go to Square's separate booking pages. Square uses its own cookies on those pages and asks you to choose whether to accept them.
