Classic, hybrid or Russian lashes in Brighton: how to choose
Choose classic lashes for a softer, defined look, hybrid for a mix of definition and fullness, or Russian volume for a fuller set. I’ll check your natural lashes and help you choose what they can support.
Classic
With classic extensions, I attach one extension to each natural lash I treat. They add length and definition without using volume fans. They’re a useful place to start if you want your lashes to look darker and more noticeable while keeping a softer finish.
A full classic set costs £50 and takes 1 hour 30 minutes. There’s also a 1-hour express set for £35 if you want a smaller set. If you know you want a fuller result, tell me before we choose classic.
Hybrid
Hybrid mixes classic extensions with Russian volume fans. I use the fans to fill sparse areas and the single lashes to give the set structure. The result can look more textured than classic without using fans throughout.
A hybrid set costs £60 and takes 2 hours. You can ask for a wispy finish with longer classic lashes or a more even blend. If you’re unsure which you mean, I can talk through the options with you.
Russian volume
For Russian volume, I make fans from several fine lashes and attach each fan to an individual natural lash. Fans can fill gaps where natural lashes look sparse. They can also make the set look fuller overall.
The amount of volume depends on your natural lashes and the finish you want. I’ll check what your lashes can support before I decide how full to make the set. Russian volume costs £65 and takes 2 hours 15 minutes.
Silk, cashmere and flat lashes
Silk and cashmere are classic lash options. Silk has a darker look with a sheen. Cashmere gives a fluffy, fuller-looking finish. Each costs £55 and takes 1 hour 30 minutes.
I also offer flat lashes as their own set. They have a flat base rather than a round one and give a soft finish. A flat lash set costs £50 and takes 1 hour 30 minutes. Text me if you’d like to ask about them.
Your eye shape
I look at the shape of your eyes when I plan where different lash lengths will go. A set can use several lengths, rather than one length all the way across. That helps me choose a shape that works with your eyes and the look you’ve asked for.
A photograph can help you show me what you like, but I’ll still check your own lashes before making a plan. You can see examples on the lash extensions page.
How to choose
Tell me whether you want a softer finish, more texture or a fuller lash line. Tell me, too, if you have gaps in your natural lashes or find it hard to lie with your eyes closed for a longer appointment. I’ll talk through the styles with you before I start.
All extension styles need gentle cleaning, and most clients return for infills every 2 to 3 weeks. Read my lash extension aftercare guide and check the price list for appointment times and infill prices.
If you’re new to extensions, start with the free patch test at least 24 hours before your set.
